She stretched, bending her neck like a waking cat. She felt the stickiness on her hand, she quickly licked her fingers not wanting to loose even a drop of vitality. The man saw her true form in the last moment, when it was already too late. She smiled to him, showing rows of blood-covered teeth. The nobleman tried to speak, maybe to pray, but she shook her head and put her hand on his mouth. This was her moment, she did not want him to ruin it. After all it’s not often that a mere morta l is able to sha re the bed with a n ancient queen. He finally gave his last breath while still looking at her with a mix of terror and lust.

She jumped down from the bed, her bare feet did not feel the cold floor. She went to the mirror admiring the form she took for the just deceased companion. Yes, this was a nourishing meal, this was a good decision to arrive in this city. With her sense, of a being as old as humanity, she could feel that Vienna became a boiling kettle of ambition, aggression and lust. This drove her as a moth to the flame but she did not fear burning. She was one of the four oldest Walkers in the Night, Samael’s favourites. She did not know what was happening to others: Lilith, Eisheth and Naamah. She walked her own path for a long time now. There was only her, Agrat bat Mahlat, the one that taught Jewish kings and mages, the one whose cambion was Asmodeus himself. She came to Vienna because the Hour of Darkness was near, the time in which she and others like her will come back in glory and will walk among mortals in the light of day. For centuries her force was diminishing and now it was but a shadow of her former power that used to serve kings Solomon and David. But here was the chance to regain what was lost…

Succubus is the demon of men’s desires. It can take the illusory form of a beautiful woman. It appears to each man as the most beautiful woman the man has ever seen, or one that the man knows and secretly desires. They usually appear in dreams, but can also seduce an awake person. When materialized, they have an innocent appearance that can fool anyone but the smartest men. Under this illusion, however, lies the demon’s true form – a monstrosity covered in scales and armed with long, sharp claws.
