Boruta is an old Slavic demon of woods and forests. He used to be the king of the woods in the area of Łęczyca, and hunters made offerings to him. Christianization took his domain away from him, but he still haunts the area. Sometimes, as in the old days, he appears in the form of a great owl, owever usually he takes the form of a tall nobleman. He assumes this form to appear in other parts of the world and to join the company of other true-born nobles.

Boruta can be fielded under the rules governing demons. Additionally, he can also be deployed by the Defenders of the Crown, who typically are not allowed to field demons. In this case, Boruta pretends to be an ordinary nobleman. He cannot use all of his powers, and the other members of the band must not realize who their companion truly is.

Boruta is not available for regular purchase. He can only be acquired at conventions or during crowdfunding campaigns.
