Under his hat, Siegfried hides a secret helmet. One of the surviving original secret helmets and the hat under which it was hidden can be seen at the Heeresgeschichtliches Museum in Vienna.

Johann’s air-gun is based on a weapon made by Johan Koh of Cologne in 1654, currently in the collection of the Skokloster (12880). The air tank is in the cover of the barrel and a pump in the butt. Full load of the tank allowed for several shots.

Armor worn by Phobos and Deimos are based on items preserved in the Veste Coburg collection. These were flax constructions with holes where often metal rings were sewn in. Such armor protected the dog during a boar hunt.
